Zithuthe-Art Film
The Word Zithuthe means to unpack your ancestral story when you introduce yourself to someone from a different tribe or clan. In the beginning of the film I do a video art piece where I introduce my ancestors and their story to spaces all over Florence.
This self-portrait art film charts my journey as a Xhosa young woman who left her life in South Africa to do her honors in Florence Italy. Unfortunately when I arrives there where some wonderful challenges waiting just for me. Beautifully honest and heart wrenchingly real watch as my life unfolds and takes shape from girlhood to womanhood.
